Recently, Kylie Jenner did an interview with US Weekly in which she opened up about the way she’s been treated. Jenner says that she’s been bullied since she was just 9-years-old and has had to deal with being attacked by “the whole world.” Ironically, she doesn’t mention exactly how she’s been bullied or what’s been said to her, but she does make an effort to let everyone know that she’s done a good job dealing with these sort of things. As most people know, bullying is a very serious subjects, and there are kids all over the world who are bullied by their peers as well as other groups every single day. However, it’s kind of difficult to sympathize with Kylie when it seems like she’s just saying things to get attention.
Sure, she’s probably had to deal with her fair share of negative feedback for being part of a reality TV series, for being Kim K’s younger sister, and for turning into a self-absorbed teenager – but at the end of the day, she hasn’t had to deal with the things that some people are forced to face on a daily basis.
With all of the money floating around the Kardashian/Jenner family, it’s clear that Kylie’s version of the real world isn’t as real as it is for the average person. However, it is kind of sad that as a 9-year-old, Kylie had absolutely no say so in the fact that her mom signed the family up for a reality show, and turned them all into fodder for public consumption. Now, on the brink of adulthood, Kylie just can’t seem to leave the spotlight alone, and continues to put her all of her business on the Internet. With that being said, the question as to whether or not Kylie Jenner has actually been bullied remains. Perhaps, but not for the reasons she thinks. Here are the real types of bullying we believe Kylie Jenner’s gotten since age 9.
Money
Sure rich people have problems, but money definitely isn’t one of them. With that being said, Kylie Jenner definitely had it made growing up. Although she is now able to make her own money, during her childhood she was living off of the family’s wealth. Yup, having it all definitely makes you an easy target to be made fun of and bullied. It must be really hard to show your face when you have the nicest outfits and the most expensive jewelry. Add a little bit of fame to all of that money and what do you get? Clearly a recipe for something that is akin to disaster. Seriously though, getting money hand over fist definitely sounds like a very serious form of bullying.
Being Kim K’s little sister
Okay seriously, being Kim Kardashian’s little sister probably sounds like a lot of fun. But could you imagine how you would feel if almost everyone around you had seen your older sister naked?! Let the jokes began. Unfortunately for Kylie, that’s the reality of having an older sister whose initial claim to fame was a sex tape. But on the flip side, if it weren’t for Kim K and her willingness to show it all, Kylie wouldn’t even be in the position she is today. If she weren’t Kim Kardashian’s little sister, it’s safe to say that any time someone said Kylie Jenner, it would be followed by a WHO?!
Her looks
Being a good-looking person is difficult. Over the last year, it’s clear that there’s something different about Kylie Jenner’s lips. Although she hasn’t admitted to undergoing plastic surgery – it doesn’t take 20/20 vision to see that she’s definitely had some work done. Kylie has also admitted to selling insecure about her lips, which would explain why she’d want to change them. Although it’s highly doubtful that anybody was paying attention to Kylie’s lips when she was a kid, she was clearly paying extremely close attention to them. Well now, the whole world has noticed Kylie Jenner’s lips thanks to the #kyliejennerlipchallenge that hit the Internet a few months ago. Let’s just say this, if Kylie continues to undergo plastic surgery procedures, she’ll actually be bullying herself.
Star power
When Keeping Up with the Kardashians first aired, Kylie was just a cute little kid who, for the most part, stayed in the background. Not only was nobody checking for her, the entire world was too busy focusing on the Kardashian girls (and even Rob in the beginning) who were always up to something. Although Kylie is convinced that people have been bullying her since she was nine, there a pretty good chance that people who watched the show back then hardly even noticed her. Now on the other hand, Kylie Jenner seems to be everywhere, and even if you don’t like (or even know) what she does, she’s pretty hard to ignore. Ugh, being able to build a brand just sounds so evil. Why is the world such a cruel place!
Being too normal
In the beginning of her reality TV career, Kylie was actually the normal one – relatively speaking of course. Yeah, let that one sink in. Not that it’s hard to be considered normal when you’re in a family full of other reality TV stars, but she actually seemed like she might even stay on that path. Well, now it’s clear that that wasn’t the case – but as a nine-year-old there was still hope. But with that being said, when you’re the normal one, you easily stick out like a sore thumb. Getting bullied for being too normal definitely sounds like a traumatic experience.
